Help Su4 Carb

right i fitted a stage one kit the other day and once fitted the carb i noticed a hose was knocked out and disconnected at the bottom this is impossible to get back in and stay anyone no how to fit this hose back in :S 

i will include a picture of the problem part. 

 

is there anything i can do like put tape or something to hold it in place?

Sounds like it is the fuel pipe :( Not something you want to be taping up, if it is just to hold it on, not seal anything then thats better

logicly i would think it is the fuel hose i got some pics but dont no how to attach them in my post :S never done 

 

what would you suggest to hold it in place

at the bottom of the image of the carb going into the hose going from one to the other

if its just come out the float bowl then undo the nut and refit, if the other side then not sure you can fix that its part of the jet

witch side is the float bowl the side with the needle i dont think i have jets :S

That is the jet....

 

Not sure you can replace it from that side....

If you pulled the jet apart from the bown without unscrewing the nut, you need a new jet and dont forget to remove the old rubber seal once you remove the nut from the fuel bowl.

If you pulled from the chocke side, this jet is probably bent anyway and replacement is HIGLY reccomended

is there anyway i can bodge the hose so i can drive to get the part 

also what part is it i need to buy

sorry i am really ilknowleagebe about car but i find for me th best way to learn is to embrace it and learn from the mistakes

I really wouldnt recommend bodging the line which supplies fuel to the carb, right above the hot exhaust manifold, you could very easily end up pumping fuel onto that creating a huge fire totally writing off the mini and risking your life, order the part online and fit it when it arrives

Should be a brass gland/bush inside the brass nut on the pipe.........

you make a very good point no bodging will be done to get me running temporarly

just fitted new jet. the carb is empty do i need to ad fuel or will when i start it will it sort it self out?
