I recently reported a problem with my tyre hitting the wheel arch under normal driving on one side of car.
I have replaced the rear rubber cones, and was confident this was the problem as my old rubber cones were very distorted.
Unfortunately the problem remains.
I have checked all rear subframe mounts, and they appear OK. The only fault I have found is the outer radius arm bracket on the problem side is worn - the nut is 10mm higher on the bracket than on the good side of the car. I have measured every aspect of the suspension trying to find a difference between the good and bad side of the car, and this was the only difference I could find. I have today bought some adjustable camber brackets to replace my worn standard outer mounts.
However, I have noticed on the YouTube a video in the US which shows some rear bump stops fitted to the inner wheelarches. I have searched the internet, but can only find these for sale in the US?
As a precautionary measure, these seem a good idea to prevent the tyre hitting the wheel arch and causing damage.
Does anyone know where to buy these in the UK, or is there a better solution to provide a bump-stop to the rear suspension?
