For sale is my abandoned project.

Round-nose Mini City – 1983 – with V5 (it is SORN'd at the moment).

The shell needs welding on the sills, some patches on the floor pans, the back of the boot floor and it needs a valence, top of the rear wing (passenger side), lower rear corner of rear wing on drivers side and heel panel subframe mounts. All these are "standard" mini rust areas but unlike a lot of shells the rust is localised and the metal around the areas is strong so they should be easy repairs. I’ll post some pics over the weekend

The nasty areas to repair are all solid (scuttle panel, door pillars, A panels, roof corners etc).

The shell is on a turnover spit which will be included

The shell is dismantled and nearly all the bits to make a complete car are included except seats, carpets and door cards (although I think there are doorcards on the doors).

The guy I bought it off also stripped another car for spares so there's nearly 2 cars worth of bits

Included with the shell are :

1x brand new bonnet
1x boot lid (needs a skin)
1x set steel wheels (rusty)
1x set alloys (minilite copies)
1x brand new front subframe (never been fitted)
1x set good suspension/arms/hubs
1x used front subframe with arms/hubs/ fitted
1x good used rear subframe - bare
1x used rear subframe - bare - needs welding
1x set rear trailing arms with suspension
1x steering rack
2x sunroof assembliesy
1x fuel tank
4x doors - 2 need minor work (skins ok), 2 need re-skin
1x set of glass
1x steering column with Mountney steering wheel
1x set f/glass extended wheel arches
1x radiator

about 3 or 4 boxes of all the body "trim" bits - eg lights, wiring, switches, dash dials, master cylinders

1x 1000cc engine complete (I was told it's a runner)
1x 850cc engine (I think its an 850) which looks like it’s been ported

about 3 sets of carbs (1 set of twin 1-1/4 SU's, a 1-1/2 and I think an 1-3/4) and a couple of manifolds (one is a Howley)

1x brand new stainless steel twin pipe back box
1x LCB manifold (I think)
1x brand new kit for electric windows (still boxed)

There's probably more but I can't remember at the moment.

The shell and all the bits stand me at £650 and the turnover spit at £150. I’d like to see somewhere near to the total (ie. £800) but I am open to sensible offers and am prepared to split it up.

My girlfriend is looking for a first car and has grandparents up near you! Seeing as your project is mostly complete, it seems ideal!

I think you may have misread the posting.

The shell is stripped of parts and  needs welding in the areas mentioned (ie sills, floorpans, boot floor etc) - the welding hasn't started yet.

I'll get some pics sorted out and you can have a look.

Just re-read your comment - I read it as "mostly completed" (ie nearly finished) - which it isn't.

If you mean "mostly complete" (ie nearly all the bits are there) ..... then yes it probably is.

If nearly all the bits are there, then its perfect...depending on condition. Need photos. PM'ed

I'd rather sell it a a complete lot but if that doesn't happen then I'll split it up.

I've no idea - I didn't buy it, it was bought by the guy I bought the project off.

Is there any way to tell ?  if so I'll let you know

Pics are up.

If anyone wants any more detailed pics please let me know.

I'll be leaving it as a "job lot" for another week or so then I'll sell the parts as seperate items.

It'll either have MOG stamped on it or still have the heritage sticker

Can't see anything stamped into it and it has no stickers so I assume it's not a heritage part.
