Long overdue, I know, but finally it's here! Please take a look around and let us know what you think. Still the inevitable fine tuning to do, but we are pleased with the result. Hope you are too :-)

What a difference! No offence but the old was so bad I gave up using it. Unless you had a spare hour or two you had no hope. This new one seems really good. Going to be even harder to resist those purchases now!

No offence taken Clive! It was cutting edge in 1996 when it was launched!!

Glad you like the new one.

Yes it looks much better BUT still not up to the mark for navigating items, really should have a navigation directory on the left allows to drill down to categories and some items can be in more than 1 category. That said I will look at your site more to purchase now.

Absolutely huge improvement, I have found DSN classics to be one of the best places to buy from but your website used to really get on my nerves and I found it easier to just go to eBay etc.
Think I'll be using you alot more now.
Keep it up

Andrew.

Thanks for the feedback. Having a 'traditional' navigation menu on the left would spoil the visual balance of the site (according to the designers!!!). The menu layout is designed to allow you access to the main sections directly from any other part of the site. Once in a sub section, a secondary menu is displayed allowing you access to other sub sections in that area. i.e. if you are in doors for example, you have one click access to the related sections, main shell, bonnet, boot, etc.

Many products are available through different sections where applicable. The number of sections vs. the number of products in a section is always a compromise. Too many sections makes it more difficult to locate items. Too many products in one section makes it equally difficult! It's always a balancing act!

If this doesn't cover what you meant, we would be interested for you to expand on your comment.

I like the sub-menu bar.. its good for nav though when you click on a catagory it disapears.. and changes to a breadcrumb nav..

Attached File  bad.JPG   12.86K   8 downloads

This is unnecessary to remove the sub menu really if it was just fixed on every page then you could skip to another section quickly with out have to use the breadcrumb to get back to the mini shop main page to change section?

Though it is a vast improvement over the old site.

Adam

Lets be clear this really is a transformation over the old site and I am sure will bring you more sales but take for example..... I want a front wing, Minispares web site it can be found by drilling down on the navigation bar, but with your site I still cannot find them? Maybe its not listed yet but to have to open a window to then get another navigation point.

I feel bad now like a real moaner......
