Well, I say build, guess we'll see how it goes.
Picked this up a couple of weeks ago
E006C133-A76B-4897-B9D0-B5A8C2A84E0B-617
Came with (I think) a horrible trim
73FA2292-BE64-47B4-8045-8D78D56C6765-644
So that was first to go.
Today I have had time so stripped the carpets, underfelt, roof lining etc out to inspect.
A few patches, but fairly solid so happy :)
Thanks to TMF sorted the earth issues so all good :)

So today after a good strip found some not do good repairs in the rear pockets.
But each side is different, does anyone know why??

So had a couple of hours on it today.
Removed underseal, and original soundproofing etc, found sealant and a few patches!
All pretty solid tho :) wire wheeled, ground up and rust treated.

Seeing as the repairs ate solid, would you remove and redo with a new floor??
Also, how do you know if you've got cover sills fitted??

Hahaha, never seen that before, you,ve got the innersill vertical lip and the inner sill stiffener missing from one side, also on the same side you can see new bolts/nuts coming through which shows that someone has wanted to remove the rear subframe and either the bolts have sheared or the captive nuts have come loose (Common problem) so they've replaced them with a nut and bolt.

Also looks like you'll be digging out the filling :P

Glad you're getting rid of the flip front

Watching this..

Cheers

Cliff

Another day, another dig about.
So I removed the rear companion box, to find this :s
6BB9D1DD-0F41-48BF-B937-0844776A46E6-242
Now I was fitting outer sills anyway, and I had the info on the subframe mount panel and closure etc, but what else will I need. Part floor I'm guessing OR remove the outer sill first?
Lastly, I'm gonna have to drive this to my unit- would you??!!

Give M-machine a ring and order an inner sill to first groove anel and outer sill, possibly both sides and also heelboard panels/s

You will need these parts from M machine

11.31.04.37 inner sill to first flute

11.37.02.03 they call it a companion box closing but its an inner sill stiffener

11.32.02.27 heelboard mounting bracket with captive nuts

13.37.00.03 companion box.

11.32.02.17 this is the heelboard end with bracket so if you get this you won't need the third item.

Saying that the inner arch looks cack so maybe think of changing that so if you do you will also need this

11.41.07.03 closing panel top half.

On a day to day basis no. there is no strength in that corner and could fail especially if you hit a hole.

You could take a chance but for me i would want to do something there to get some strength back in there.
