Removed the drivers companion box, and the floor is solid :) so wire wheeled, rust treated, zinc'd and temp paint.
Panels ordered from M-machine for passenger side too
Spent the rest if the time stripping the factory soundproofing off the floors, cleaning all the edges and rust treating.

Time for the boot strip to commence.....

You afre going to brace the shell at some point Arn't you ?
To do the inner sill's you need atleast one box section across to the other B-post and if you're replacing the doorstep at the same time you want soome bracing there also so it doesn't sag when you chop a load of its structure out

Good luck with this mate.
Are you making it to your taste or are you restoring it back to original? I used to have an advantage and they are cracking looking things when standard! well in my opinion anyway!!
As for oversills, you only need to look at a stock photo of an oversill on one of the suppliers websites and you will know. The are considerably wider than standard ones and are designed to "fix" and I use that term loosely, rotten sills and floor edges in one go. Only fitting these sills exacerbates things as they are not vented trapping moisture and will cause ALOT more rot in the future. Always go for standard sills
Cheers

I've no interest in over sills, just wanted to see if there on now, but looking at pics, they aren't -phew.

Rear to bits, tank out

Arches off, and wheels (already sold)

Then got the flip front (again sold!) off, and stripped the loom out

And the best thing about this week, picking up the 1380 :)

The media blasting starts next week.

So that will be, full floors, X member, boot floor, lower door frame/A panels, scuttle, wings, bonnet, front panel, inner wings complete.
Looking forward to seeing progress now!
Big thanks to P&L minis for sorting me out with the floors today, all in stock and top price too :)

A big load of money spent there, you must be homeless by now! ![]()
Looks like you're going to have your work cut out (no pun intended) but a very nice mini in the end when all is done ![]()
Just a word of warning, i know the crossmember is pre welded in but for maximum protection over the coming years of use the tunnel is always a place for rust and rot to develop un-knowingly to you so might want to take that off and clean back and protect in that cavity at some point before all bodywork is done and you're ready to paint like..
Cheers,
Cliff

I better buy some more welding wire.....
A lot of panels yes but unfortunately its what the car requires, its been messed about with so much in the past its just full of patches, filler and seam sealer and is past the point of a tidy up job really ( it took me a day just to remove one of the inner wings properly as there were that many patches on it, some tied into the structure i need to leave in place, some on top of other patches!)
russ originally came to me to fit the front end, in the words of ron burgundy, that escalated really quickly!
