Had some good news today, been on the look out for a while for a 'special' engine, and yesterday a deal was done - well happy :)


Plus tomoro we're off to minisport for a bit of shopping ;)

Compared to the build costs it was a bargain ;)
Just sold my mk2 golf showcar so got a few quid to spend, plus need a good replacement project :)

Took the 150 mile drive up to Mini Sport yesterday, and it was defo wearth the trip.
Got all the parts I was after (plus more!) and done me a good price too.

Collected my subframes from Ryan earlier this week, so stripped them down, took them work and sandblasted them.
Today, I've cleaned up all the welds, rewelded for strength and removed all the factory spatter (and there was loads!)



Off to my mates tomorrow for etch, prime and powdercoat, then start the build up next week :)

Heard from Ryan today that the shell is coming together so hopefully some pics soon too

A nice update, got the subframe back from my mate after powdercoat, and got it built up


Today, I've been over to Hurley to collect the rear subframe for strip down and to check progress on the body..... Starting to come together now
Ryan has said again that its one of the worse bodge repaired shell he's seen!!


Now on with the boot floor :s
