I would like to fit my CD player in my mini but it only has standard wires and I don't know what each one us for can anyone help please.

 Same applies for yours and that just leaves the speaker wiring to do and a earth connection on the radio harness which is usually black, I assume you have the manual that came with the head unit to tell you which is which? If not google the make and model there mostly all on the web.
