Yes thats the problem i'm having. Small details such as some scuffs on the washer jets mean new ones are needed. I'd like new rear lights as the chrome is slightly pitted but have to draw the line somewhere. The majority of replacement parts and trim are genuine as I want things to last.. I'm having to reuse the 4 lamps on the front too. Ideally they need changing but for now they will have to do.

great work. Don't forget the wires for the speakers come out from above the parcel shelf, not underneath...

Funny enough I fitted some improved front to rear speaker cable today. Not going for a big sound install just something that can take a bit more bass

Ive kept the exhaust that was on the car when I bought it. Twin upswept DTM RC40. Its pretty loud but without being excessive but quite throaty.
As for the speakers Ive got some 6.5" Alpines for the rear and 5.25" Alpines for the front behind the dash vents, and an Alpine 173BT headunit. Hopefully will deliver some reasonable sound although I do miss having a sub.

Bit more of a progress update. The alloys have gone off to be dipped and refurbed so thought id crack on and get this car built up. Once all the wiring and washer hose was run from front to back the first job was the headining. I was dreading doing it but wasnt too bad in the end.
As you can see I've opted for black soft touch to give more of a sporty feel. Covered A B and C pillars too, and had enough material to do the back shelf to match, c pillar strengtheners and rear wheelarch covers. Looks pretty good don't you think??
In went the Front screen, was a bit of a nightmare and nerve racking as minispares york was a 2.5 hour drive and this was their last one. But eventually it found its place and all sealed.
Got both front doors on, bonnet and bootlid. Still need to align them properly once the wheels are back and I can wheel the car outside.
Rear quarterlight windows all fitted, front doors also built up with windows and locks
Then decided it was time to fit the front spots and fogs. I cleaned one of the old ones up but against the new headlamps and indicator lenses they looked awful so ended up doing another SLMC order, fantastic service as always. So glad I replaced them as they are such a focal point on the car. Got the grill screwed on too. Thankfully I'd predrilled the holes and got everything in position prior to paint so it was just a case of fixing it to existing holes.
Starting to take cooper form now
Moved round to the back and got the bootlid on
Then all built up :)
MOT is booked for next Friday so this bank holiday weekend is the final push to get finished. Not a million miles away now, the end is in sight.

That looks amazing! Quick question regarding the cooper sports badge - did yours have lugs on the back? If so, how did you mount it?
