I've read it in great detail mate to give me the inspiration to get on with mine. The only problem is that I'm currently having to work on it on my driveway which is on a slope. Makes it more interesting I suppose but it means that I can only really work on it with all four wheels on the ground at the moment.

Great project... well done!
I've ordered myself some of that Bonda Primer stuff as it seems to cover well from the pics. Did you just brush it on?
Was going to go down the POR15 route but it's so damn expensive
What's the plan with the subframes now that you have blasted and used the bonda primer? Stone chip and then chassis black?

Delivery arrived from minispares. Still going to need another couple of shops but gotta control the cash flow

And found a use for my spare bedroom. So now I can assemble things in the warm. Wanted to start putting it together tonight but have an exam on indirect tax on Monday. Revising took priority :/

Just got the fuel lines to clean up and fit, along with front to back brake line then hopefully this will be fitted to the car by next weekend

Also got the fuel lines cleaned up and painted, and scrubbed the clips. Really pleased with the result

Then it was time to get the subframe fitted. Me n my dad jiggled the thing around for ages, just couldn't get the bolts to take into the heelboard. Turns out the new ones I'd bought were slightly too short. Even the original ones took a bit of persuasion. But eventually it was in

All nice and shiny

Even got the handbrake fitted and cables connected up. Just need to find the piece to attach the cable to the lever. I have it here somewhere....

Also make sure you reaaaaaaaaaallly clean up the earth point behind the expansion tank. You get some pretty wierd problems with the lights and indicators if its not a very good contact
