Hi, got a little problem - Heater only blows out hot air.

Great in winter - not so good in summer.

Pull knob operation seems ok, but not tracked it all the way back to the connection point under the fan (if that's the place it goes into?)

Any ideas? my thinking is to track the cable incase something has broken off, but looks an awkward job and it could be something else.

Thanks!

The cable goes into a valve on the side of the heater on the latest models

You will have to see if it is operating correctly and fully closing

Thank for that, I'll flex the old shoulder & back joints, then try see underneath.

Knew those Yoga classes would have come in handy....shame I went to play darts instead!

Good luck,

I didn't realise the later valves were in the car until I did some research for this thread!

Cable may not be clamped properly

Bear in mind also that the air always goes through the matrix. Once it's warm it won't cool down instantly even if you do shut the flow of coolant off so unless you've had the heater control pulled out since the engine was started it's going to take a while before it blows cool air.

The eyeball vents at each end of the dash don't get air from the matrix so they should only blow cold (well outside air temp).
