Suspect i know the answer - but hoping before i end up redoing my gearbox

should there be anything else i need to check first?

Having to d/declutch going down the gears (not always?) same on reverse

going up the gears - no issue at the moment.....

Clutch seems ok

Any help before i go to Guessworks..... :shy:

If it needs a rebuild how much would i be looking at - worst case :X

Do they crunch if you don't de clutch?

Sounds like syncro issue!

Call to GuessWorks to confirm!

Yep - they crunch - even reverse - its also difficult to get into gear even if i d/declutch

Having to coast down to almost walking speed to enable the gear to be selected.... :X

Its great when engine off - gears are fine lol :proud:

If its syncro what will the likely damage be?

so much for a rebuilt g/box a few years ago (so say ebay grrr :sneaky: )

Sounds more like your clutch needs looking at!

There is no syncro on reverse so if its grating trying to get in reverse sound like the clutch may not be throwing enough, I'd check the throw on the pedal from the hydraulics and get some one to hold the pedal down while you check the overthrow stop nuts are touching the alloy cover, recheck these are set right and if they deem to be ok then its likely then as said bulk rings and syncro hubs

Agree it sounds like the clutch is not disengaging fully and is suffering from clutch-drag.

Check all the clutch settings and movement.

Is it Verto or pre-Verto?
