Hi guys, as above I'm trying to reduce the throaty sound. Previously it was more throaty on the motorway say I was cruising at 70mph and floored it to overtake is when the noise was really throaty.
Today I checked the tappets and number 1 was a but tight so I set them all again and now its just more throaty but now its all the time at all speeds when floored...
Before it was just really bad at 70 when floored.
Just wondering how I can reduce it?
It's a pretty standard 1275 with 266 and manifold 1.75"
I set them to 16thou as said on Kent specifications but if I set them to say 14thou, could that refuce the sound?
Cheers

what air filter do you have? K&N ones are normally very noisy on full throttle. standard ones are much quieter

The cone filter I had on mine when I bought it made it very very noisy at motorway cruising and overtaking.

Wasn't too bad at lower speeds/revs.

Standard airbox with K&N filter is much much better.  Think I gained a little bottom end torque and lost a tad top end power, but IMO that's better.

I mean yeah since the k&n it was louder but you get used to the noise and this it a little more than the normal increased noise from the k&n
