Hi there,I have a 1989 ,998 racing green model,I,ve fitted a stage 1 kit and a luminition electronic ignition kit a few years back and it also has a ballast resistor coil.it stopped running properly a few weeks ago.it seemed to be missing and the firing seemed to be all over the place.a friend of mine who is a mechanic sugested it may be the electronic ignition module.As the dissy is the orininal lucas 59D4,and probably now worn,I thought i would buy a new electronic dissy and new coil.however I am not sure as to what to buy.when i fitted everything ie the stage 1 and the ignition,i had it rolling roaded at mini sport and the tech guy disconnected the vacuum advance saying that i no longer needed it.any sugestions as to which to buy and what make.

Yeah put one of these on girlfriends mini, only lasted about 8 months before showing the same symptoms.......
Went back to points and the car was fine, a few years later went for the Britpart kit and it's been fine since......
