Outstanding work and attention to detail. Good to see another car saved.

Well not much to see but had a solid day of welding and grinding

IMG_3464_zps5c0fcf75.jpg

Managed to get some seam welds on the scuttle to wing flange

IMG_3461_zps01a45f55.jpg

IMG_3462_zps94360a37.jpg

Then noticed this issue on the r/h wing.

IMG_3459_zpsbb829398.jpg

Somehow i managed to miss this so after some cunning cutting (chain drilling) and a bit of welding and die grinding i got this

IMG_3465_zpsa1799316.jpg

It looks pretty much square on like the l/h side so it pays to check even Heritage panels for distorted ends.

What's next ?

4 Tabs to weld on the wings, A panel and front panel. Then its off with the subbie and replace part of the lower bulkhead. Then weld a welding rod to the drivers door bottom edge.

After that its sealing time. And bye bye special.

I'm afraid not, i was only doing the bodywork side of it. The rest is up to Will.

No mate he's not although i will be trying to get him to join. As far as i know the car will be going back into the container he stored it in previously. Not the best idea as it really needs painting etc before it does.

Tabs are on

IMG_3469_zps7ead18fc.jpg

IMG_3468_zps6b9afd5f.jpg

Filled the gaps between the wing flange to windscreen pillar on both sides

IMG_3467_zps71e8085b.jpg

IMG_3466_zps28b6406b.jpg

Then today it was off with the front subbie so i could get to this

IMG_3476_zps80b9de67.jpg

IMG_3475_zps8da7a5ee.jpg

So out it came

IMG_3477_zps9a227032.jpg

IMG_3478_zps262c3b75.jpg

and this is what was lurking under the seam

IMG_3479_zpsb5a1d84b.jpg

New metal going in tomorrow.

Neil them there tabs you have put on.

Are they just folded steel?

Think of putting some on my removable front to add some strength that's all.
