Hello TMFers. I am looking for a valuation for my mini which I am debating whether to sell or not to fund the next project!

The mini is a 1989 Mini 30 which has covered approximately 60,000miles. I can get the exact mileage from the MOT certificate as I have changed speedos a couple of times. Taxed until July 2014 and MOT until August 2014. This has an agreed valuation on my insurance of £6000. This mini has gone through a full bare shell rebuild, I have extensive pictures of this, a selection is shown below. This mini is modified, although has been done so it looks rather “standard” to joe public. Rough specification from the top of my head is as below:

Engine

Rebuilt 998 engine

Rebuilt gearbox approx 2000miles ago with new bearings, baulk rings, moly hardened pin diff.

3.1 final drive

Nodiz ignition system

SW5 camshaft

Stage1 kit

Cooper freeflow with maniflow centre exit

Duplex chain

Body

Fibreglass front

Fibreglass bonnet on gas struts with flush fitting lockable aerocatches

Fibreglass bootlid

Aluminium door skins

Partially smoothed bulkhead with wiring loom routed out of sight

Group2 arches

Mk2 rear lights

VW Beetle fog & reverse lamps recessed into rear valance

Suspension, wheels & brakes

10x5 Exactons

7.5” Cooper S conversion

Adjustable minispares bottom arms

Adjustable tie rods

Hi Los

Gaz dampers

Minispares rear toe/camber brackets

Solid Front subframe mouts

Interior

MG ZR half leathers front seats

Re-trimmed rear bench to match front

Suede dished steering wheel with snap off boss

Black headlining (optimise automotive)

Black full carpet set

KAD quickshift

Centre Speedo conversion

80mm Smiths rev counter

MPI Twin speed heater

Custom switch panel with Lucas toggle switches

Also included would be the original Mini 30 steering wheel and half leather seats.

Thanks Micrawave :) I'm sure you can see the level of work which has gone into this.

Mini sales are tough right now.

I think the level of work and effort gone into this should see a nice figure but unfortunately I cant see her doing much over £4k. £3995 should be about right.

If this was a few years ago then I would have said £5k.
