Thought I'd post a few pics of some friends minis touring around Ibaraki. Most are from 2004 - 2006/7.

I never got to go on any tours back home, so i guess what we do here is very similar?

Anyway, hope you like them!

The mini scene is pretty good considering.

There are usually two main events - Japan Mini Day - held in the east and west of Japan at different times.

One's in spring and the next is in October?November?

As you can see, the turnout is good. Very diverse too. The photo here was taken at Nihonmatsu circuit in Fukushima, but they go to Tsukuba in Ibaraki too. And we have little trips to Twin Ring Motegi sometimes. All good fun!

It's a shame I don't have any other Clubby pics to show. I don't remember seeing that many. Most of my friends have later minis - 80s or 90s - and have given them a MkII or III look, with 10" wheels and rear lights etc. The exceptions are the woodies, both from 1969 funnily enough.

That's so cool!

I've been fascinated with Japan since I was a little kid, looking to hopefully finally visit in the next couple of years

Hi yoshii

At first a little difficult. I was lucky though, I had my wife and her family to help.

Without them I would have struggled I think.

And I could speak some Japanese before I arrived, that was useful.

if you live in a major city you'll find many more English speakers (foreign or Japanese), signs, menus in restaurants,

train station announcements etc etc, than if you live in the sticks.

You get used to it. Get used to anything, really. I do miss real fish 'n' chips though.

But anyway, we're going OT!
