Thought I would put this up in case anyone else comes across this place. Me and my mate booked on a 2 hour tank driving experience. Advertised as giving a chance to drive two vehicles from a list. We were cancelled a couple of times for spurious reasons but finally went today.

What a con. We sat in a field waiting for an hour before being driven 100yds in a daf truck to sit for another hour and a half doing nothing. The briefing started with 'a tank is a tracked vehicle, so don't say at the end you haven't been in a tank because you have. Google it if you don't believe me' odd I thought. We were them told that two of the tanks were broken so instead of driving we would be driven in groups instead (yeah great). We then waited another hour. A ten minute tank drive followed which was ok but on the road so pretty pointless really. We then waited another half hour. Then we got back into the daf truck to be driven up and down the entry road twice. And that was it. The guy running it was very aggressive if anyone asked about what they expected to be happening. He didn't answer me when I asked where the tracks were on the daf truck.

I had booked through amazon so rang them up. Almost before I started the guy offered me a full refund. Thumbs up for amazon. I looked up reviews (yes should have done it before booking but it seemed a good deal) and they are terrible. It seems our experience is fairly standard.

So if you fancy a day out doing something a bit different, look elsewhere.

Have a look on google.......£160 pp

Some of these tank places have limited the tanks to only go forwards and backwards.

I did a 4x4 driving experience with a company called True Grip Off Road in Kent!

It was awesome!

I'd do it again tomorrow! He really explained how the vehicle worked, and judged your ability to gently encourage and improve you!

This one was £90 but I got a deal so it was only £45. The full day is £180 so that one sounds better value and a damn site better run.
