Those crossply tyres really do finish the look off nicely. Lovely :)

Thanks, yes I agree and are prepared to compromise practicality for looks, at the end of the day it's an old car with 34bhp at most, single leading shoe brakes and unlikely to be used in bad weather, it's never going to be driven in anger so decided to use them. Was contemplating new cross plys but as these were in good condition thought would give them a go first. Have a different brand for spare so hoping may find another g800 I can put on the spare but in no rush.

Final update, have now got a valid mot and insurance, drove it for first time today when going for mot and it does feel strange after driving modern cars but got a lot of attention at the garage, just need to get it taxed now
