Hi guys well I've had some running issues one of which is an erratic oil pressure light which is irritating me. I know my oil pressure is fine I just wanted to know what else this can effect so I can piece together the electrical puzzle that is my SPI thanks to the previous owner!

Assuming you've checked the connections to the gauge and to the sender...also check that there isn't teflon tape on the threads to the sender...

Sounds more like a short to earth on the wiring between lamp and sender if it is flicking on occasionally but a pressure gauge says all is fine!

If you have a pressure gauge, try disconnecting the wire from the sender and see if the light still comes on erratically. If so, trace the wiring for a short. If not, then the sender may well be the fault.
