Hello all...

I must have a mini it's also a rusty mini... thus Musto-Mini...

http://s1016.photobu...af288/mathomas3

basicly got her home and will be stripping her down soon as i can get the garage organized... Im not planning to drop much money right away because till after the holidays...Wife hasnt seen home for 4 years... it's about time...

so... picked her from ebay... and it's not as bad as i was thinking... im excited to learn about welding on body panels... before i have built 4x4s...

my plan of attack is...

1. Strip and label

2. find the rusty parts and assess what needs to be welded vs thin but ok...

3. engine rebuild... it's a 1275 but it's very milky...

4. weld...

5. prep

6. paint

7. put back together

a few questions for you guys...

1. suggestions on stripping paint... invest in a sandblaster set? which would mean that i could get a compressor which i could then use to spray paint...

2. this has a metel front clip... in three peices... no idea how it was intended to be attached but it's strange...

3. more to come...

Thanks,

Mat

Good luck with the project.  Are you doing it all yourself, or can you weld and spray?
