How To Position Omega Pistons Rings

I might stick my pistons in my block today there 73.5mm bore pistons . It has top ring middle ring and the 2 thin rings with the wiggley insert inside . What way do I need to position the rings iv been told like the merc badge is this correct

some companies have a recommend install style. I haven't personally used omega's before but I know on my CP pistons they tell you to install opposites. so say one ring is facing north then the next ring should face south then the next ring north and so on
.. its best to check what they suggest. on my own mini engines I personally use the star method in order but then those engines aint as fussy as my mgc race engine

If you mean north/south as in 12 and 6 I wouldn't personally have a ring gap on the thrust side of the piston, but people have there own ways and that might just be me

Yeah I have heard that before I'm only going by what he says that's the way he does bus engines but il find out for sure 1st

correct but i was just saying just to get the point across, always follow the manufacturers recommendations, if things are to go wrong at least you can look back and back yourself up

in other words do not have the ring gaps in a line twist then so they are 1/4 turn fron another gap.....

Yeah I understand il call med were I got the pistons from and see how they fit them tha Los you for the help
