Hi guys,

I've put the original seats back in my MK1 Aussie mini. The rubber diaphragms were split so I replaced them with some used ones from a local shop. The drivers one has been used since April with no problems but the passenger one split again almost straight away. I'm looking to replace both with some new ones. I've seen the wire and rubber types:
Wire
Rubber
So the question is which one will last better and be more comfortable? An old picture for reference...

Hi, I've got a 1965 Morris mini minor and have just rebuilt the seats using the rubber diaphragms for the sake of originality. Also used new foams from Newton commercial. The seats are brilliant now and as for lasting well the passenger seat rubber diaphragm was still in one piece, not bad after 48 years I suppose. Hope you've got strong arms for stretching the hooks over the seat frame though, not the easiest thing in the world to do!
