I have now got my Sidewalk back on the road but I have noticed it is ticking over too fast about 1600 rpm, is there anyway I can adjust the tick over or does it have to go on the diagnostic.

Could be a number of things, check the basics first. Does the car heat up normally? What as been done to it whilst it has been off the road?
Check wiring to sensors and throttle position sensor (TPS) in particular. Check for leaks around the inlet manifold and hoses.
Diagnostic usually quickest for SPi otherwise you will just end up guessing unless you find a basic fault.
