this might seem like a silly question to all you seasoned mini veterns but what do hi-lo's actually do, they seem to lower the car but when i was taking my mini apart i didin't notice any.
are they just some sort of after market suspension add on or what?
i'm looking at options for my suspension at the moment and i'd really like to know what they are all about?
silly question...?

You've pretty much guessed it in one. They replace the standard rubber cones and allow you to set the ride height at each corner. If you lower your car by too much you need to get special lowered dampers as well.
