Anyone got one of their engine blocks? I've just bought one and where the engine number should be, it's marked up 1293 S.R.E. this will be built up, once I've sorted the mini.

I'm confused? Is this just to fin out if anyone else has a slark block?

Or to find out what the numbers and letters mean? because 1293SRE means its at +20thou bore and a 1293cc and SRE means slark race engineering

Just wondered if anyone else has a Slark block. Never seen one before, and having spoken with Slark, it's not something they really do these days. It's a a series (not a+) from an early 1275GT.

What? Build engines? I thought that's what they did??

Not blocks from what the lad on the phone said. I only called them, as I know other companies give the block a unique number and have a file on the engine. This just says 1293. Will take it to them anyway and get a head sorted for it.

Picked this up last night.  It came split.  Original A series from 1275GT.  Just got to build it up now.

a friend has a SRE 1293 goes very well................
