Hi Everyone, Sorry I am new to this site and having a bit of trouble getting the text to go with the photos.
This is a 1971 Neville Trickett designed Siva Beach Buggy. It has been a long labour of love - in excess of 10 years. I bought this from a guy who had it dry stored under a tarpaulin, unfortunately the chassis was rusted, the subframes were rusted and the mice had been eating the wiring and the fibreglass was all cracked. The engine was seized, basically it was a wreck! (Didn't I get it in the ear off the missus for buying it!). I have had lots of minis and just wanted something a bit different and boy was this different!!
If you look at the engine the only things that are chromed are the alternator, the rocker box cover and the radiator cover. The rest are hand made stainless steel parts - made lovingly by me! Including the thermostat housing (18 hours of labour). The grill took another 8 hours to make as did the louvre panels on the engine sides.
I was hoping to go up to Stanford Hall yesterday but the weather was just too dreadful to contemplate travelling up from Bournemouth! I was intending to trailer it.

Fantastic looking car. Very impressive detail. Look forward to seeing it at a show, but must remember to bring my sunglasses for all the shiny bits!
