As the titile says...Newbie here

After a good week browsing the forum mainly the problem section and other members projects i thought it was time to say hello and show my project at hand.

Bought a 1991 mini cooper (carb) with the view of a restoration project of some kind, I am still debating on what i want to do and go through.  I have little knowledge but a lot of resources due to being involved in Grasstracking (i race a micra here tho) Im hoping to get this project back on the road. O_O

Hopefully i can get a some of guidance off you guys (you peeps know you stuff) in the future and keep you posted on any progress.Attached File  IMG_0144.JPG   67.59K   14 downloads

Hey bud cheers,  ye abandoned probably sums it up but there is a silver lining, it was abandoned in a garage after sills and floor was done and the body is in pretty good nic.  Most connectors have been chopped off the loom with relays etc- This is what i have been spending a week trying to get my head round researching probably every topic on electrics here on top of the haynes and restoration manuals......Ah well i will get there :).

Here's mine, treble welded, and ground down with minimal filler!

Another way to do it is with lead loading.

Wouldnt like to think how this one has been done...Im assuming the bar running through your shell is so you can turn the car? pretty jell if it is :)

Welcome buddy!!

Cheers Bud.....

Yeah, but it massively affects the handling

Worth every penny!! I wouldn't do any welding work on another mini without a spit.
