Saw this today and thought it might be worth a share for someone looking to get started with air tools.

Recon the air compressor and spray gun could handle painting a mini?

Might have to invest in some of that. Get myself an old bonnet or boot and practice sanding and spraying I think.

3.2HP one doesn't really seem to be very powerful, only puts out ~6cfm if their specs are correct.

I've not actually got any of their air tools, but I've always been really impressed with the quality of all their other "Parkside" brand tools, especially for the price. It generally all tends to come with a manufacturers 2, or 3 year warrantee too.

I bought these a few years ago when they were doing them. I wanted to paint my car, so I went down and ended up spending all my money on pointless air tools!

The sandblaster didn't work at all, but everything else was fantastic/is still going strong. The compressor I bought (can't remember the specs) hasn't skipped a beat. I currently have it running in tandem with another compressor for sandblasting with a clarke blasting set and it works fine.

Neither of those compressors are great value to be honest. 50L is minimum size wise for spraying a small car although it will probably be better suited to spraying panels, the price is okay, but not spectacular. Personally i wouldn't even entertain the spray gun, you don't want to be spending pennies on one of the key parts of your set up, especially if you are looking for a decent finish. The tyre inflator, hose reel and sander would be pretty useful, especially if you like working on your own car in your garage. I'd get one of the 50L ones if they were cheaper, can't warrant £160 though.

the spray guns are pants.... the fitment on the end is way too big to fit into a normal hose and you cant get them off to change unless you take part of the gun with you and they leak!!!!! .. i bought them for primer and binned them, if all there stuff is the same i would stay clear

cheers james

I wouldn't entertain the spray gun, it's really designed for spraying fences and sheds not really for spraying where you need a good finish

I have always used cheap spray guns and last year decided to invest in a devilbiss gun and must say I will never buy another cheap spraygun as it cleans easier, sprays better and gives far less over spray than anything else I have used. Also be careful with the air sander as I have a 14cfm belt driven 100 litre compressor at 10bar and that only just keeps up with a da, don't think any of the compressors on link would feed one, sanders are air monsters usually the cheaper ones are more air hungry than the better ones and usually noisier. I have nothing against cheap tools for diy use but if you have a small compressor an electric da sander would be a better investment, I bought a Titan one from screwfix less than £30 and it works superb.
