Evening all,

Just been out to try to diagnose my lack of horn.  I do not have 12v at the horn on the purple/black wire (when the button is pressed).  I have removed the steering column cover, and removed the multi plug from the rear of the rotary coupler - I have got 12v at this point (purple/black) and I have got an earth on the black wire.  when plugged into the coupler, and the horn pressed, no voltage leaves the plug.  Do I need a new coupler?  The SRS airbag light is functioning correctly.  Is there any "contact points" I can clean when the coupler is removed?

With the multi plug removed, and I earth the purple/black wire, the horn sounds. So all wiring from inside to the horn is ok, plus the horn relay itself is ok.

Also, what kind of bolt / screw holds the airbag?

Ryan.

Afternoon all,

Got it fixed; it was the rotary coupler / squib. I got one from a MG breakers off of a MG TF if anyone else needs one. It was the (later) part number YRC100300
