The poor thing doesn't get used enough.

So I think it needs to go to a good home sad_smile.gif

1969 Austin Mini

Professionally Converted

Running a 2002 5PW Fuel Injected Yamaha R1 Engine.

Running Costs
Road TaxFREE [Tax Exempt]
Insurance: CHEAP [Classic Car with guaranteed valuation of £11000 I pay £120 pa with RH Insurance]
Fuel EconomyEXCELLENT [35mpg if you take your time ;p ]

Completely mint inside and out and totally "sorted".

Everything works exactly as it should.

  • New Mini shell fully restored and painted inside and out in old english white. [Plenty of the build photos available]. New panels that are fitted include; wings, front panel, a panels, flitch panels, genuine skuttle panel, genuine door skins, sills and rear valance.
  • It's got a new rear sub-frame powder coated red to match the Pro-motive front one and the 6 point bolt-in roll cage.
  • The Yamaha R1 engine [180bhp (182PS, 133.9kW) @ 12,500rpm] has covered a guaranteed 21890 miles and is fitted with a Barnett Clutch and a Power Commander.
  • The clocks are R1, fully functional and fitted with a speedo healer.
  • A small fortune has been spent at Newton Commercial [almost £3000! [http://www.newtoncom...-mini/model-19/. Seats [front and rear], door cards,  crackle headliner, deep red carpet and rear pocket liners etc.
  • The roof skin and bumpers are carbon fiber.
  • Brakes are Minisport 4 pots with vented, grooved discs and Mintex 1144 pads and Minifin rear drums.
  • Wheels are 6x12 Force Racing split rims with Yokohama A048 tyres
  • It is fitted with adjustable suspension front and rear as well as Gaz shocks.
  • This mini is brutally fast, stops very well and handles great.
  • The Britax decals are easily removable and then you have a real "sleeper" that can surprise many a performance car

This mini cost about 10 grand in parts alone not including labour, paint and the initial cost of the car!

Every part, nut and bolt is new and I have every receipt from its build.

It could be used every day if you so wished because it has 4 seats as well as rear seatbelts. I think it is more suited as a weekend toy though as i have used it.

Payment: £500 deposit on completion of auction, balance via paypal or Bacs
Viewing: Highly recommended but due to the performance please don't think you can just rock-up and drive it. Also, due to the number of horror stories I've read about, viewing will not be at my home but at a mutually convenient place. Sorry, but I've read too many cases of cars being viewed then stolen.

I'm looking for offers around £9500 [but don't be shy. Make me an offer anyway  ;-) ]

How long have you owned it, and when was the conversion done?

Thanks.

Thanks.

I've had it for just about 2 years and I think the original conversion was carried out 6 to 12 months prior.

In fact, an eBay member has just asked a similar question. They've also asked about the mileage.

I bought the vehicle on 05/10/11 and the MOT says the following with respect to mileage

13/03/2013: 21706

15/03/2012: 21136

09/03/2011: 19506

26/02/2010: 17004

Why would a new shell need all those replacement panels?
