Dear all Mini Fans,

Currently i think to upgrade my carburettor to HIF44, it is can match with 1000cc engine?

HIF44 carburettor compatible with 1000cc engine? got any side effect?

Thanks and regards,

YONG

An HIF44 may be oversized to use on a 998c engine and you may lose out on low down torque. It will also be a pain to set up. Personally I'd recommend using a single HS4 carb instead

I'm not sure why you would want to put a HIF44 on a 998 as it wouldn't increase performance because of cylinder head limitations.

As Iain says, a single HS4 or HIF38 would suffice.

There's lots of threads on TMF about different carbs on 998s, so if you do a search you will find out much more information.

Hif38 if you want a more modern carb on it
