Hi everyone,

anyone owned the japanese model post 97 mini with aircon model in here??or had experience for it.?

Japanese post97 rover mini 's spec is different to normal post97 model in UK. Its engine is not traditional MPI engine.  it is Spi head ,inlet, spi ecu and side radiator(simialr as normal spi engine layout) but with coil pack distributor similar as MPI model distributor.

Anyone know its short engine block model number?

is it same as MPI short engine block ?

Ed,

I own and drive a 1998 Japan Spec MPI Mini, with everything laid out as in the picture above.  If you'll tell me where to find the number you're looking for, I'll check it out and get back to you.  I've only recently purchased the car and this is my first Mini, otherwise I'd probably already know where to look.

Pete

It's an MPi short block, I know for certain that the auto's don't have a cam sensor, I think this is the same for the manuals.
