Hi all

I have a 99 Cooper MPI in red with white roof (multi coloured) the code on the vin plate says WEM, I thought it was solar red due to the year but thats a different code?


Anyone throw some light on it

I think (like my BRG Mpi) that Rover used a unique code that was a combination of the main colour plus roof colour (as some are silver, some are Old English White).   This is why you cannot find that code....

Any ideas where the "useable" code will be?

At the bottom of this MG page, it says WEN (You say your vin says weM ?) is a combination of NNX/CMU

 

 

Then according to this TMF page CMU = BLVC1278 Solar Red

 

(NNX = Old English White BLVC1205)

Mine too is a 99 mpi with white roof and is solar red andhas Paint code of WEN on the vin plate however when ordered the paint for respray it was labelled as CMU/WEN and has produced a colour the same as the old panels taken off so it must be the same colour but I have no idea for the difference in codes!!!
