Much into minis in the '60s. Built my own cooper 1098 from scratch and used it for hill climbing. Had several others over the years and would now like to own one of the newer ones (not the latest bulky version). Must. avoid the steering issue though. Budget less than 9K so advice on best S model welcome.

Well, I already did that in 1968 when I soured a 998 cooper to do hill climbs (0 - 60 5.8secs) with a high ration final drive. Too old now for that!

you would be best go visit "The Dark Side" at mini2.com for the BMW mini or Bini....
