Possibly yeas, in theory you could do it but things like the master cylinder sizes might be incompatable and give you little to know brakes like when some people convert there minis master cylinder without changing old wheel cylinders for example, not sure of the in's & out's on it specificaly.

Also wheel and camber alignment might be different but i,ve seen a few conversions on minis for metro hubs, vented discs so must be the same in that sector :)

Old skool lewes had standard tens on his metro, they were spaced out by an inch, if I remember rightly. He had reverse rims on the back to make it look right.

(The second pic it has banded steels up front, but you can see they stick out too far due to the mini offset, but standard 3.5x10" fit nicely when spaced by 1")

You know i quite like that. Are the spacers to fit them over the brakes or to fill out the arches?

I tryed to put 10x 6 wellers on mine but with a inch spacer on the front they would not turn in the arch! So gave up on the idea and scrapped metro!

I had 145s on the front and 165s on the back but 145s all round would of been better on the rear the are perfect if you rolled the arches and let some juice out but the front needed the cooper s brake conversion but you have to get rid if the twin brake line so I couldn't be bothered!!!

Did they hit on the front of the arch? Would it have worked had you rolled the front arches?

No the front arches had been rolled with a proper arch roller ! They would not turn at all needed big area of front arch cutting off :( cooper s brakes it would be fine

Ah fair enough. I really like the look so it might be an investment worth making haha.
Im trying to think of a way of getting the cooper s brakes to go on but as said above wont the twin line metro set up cause problems?
