Got a Citroen AX when I was 13 as a field car and thrashed it round the farm untill I was 17 and bought my first Mini, at which point I had to scrap it for Mini funds, sad day 
First road car was the Mini though :)

I had a1886 Nova saloon, loved it! Was easy and cheap to fix. Wanted a mini from the start but didn't actually get one till about 3 weeks ago which was a long wait!!!

Was that the year it was first registered Em ??????????????I had a1886 Nova saloon, loved it! Was easy and cheap to fix. Wanted a mini from the start but didn't actually get one till about 3 weeks ago which was a long wait!!!

A mini was the first car I owned, aged 11.
Although my first road car was a mk3 escort
(yup, thats a 17yr old Shifty, and that was the day I passed my driving test!!)

This is quite funny! I bought my first mini when I was 14 from my brother, put it in a council rented garage knowing literally nothing about cars! Eventually someone broke in and destroyed it.
I then bought a Citroen AX as my first road car, I put 3 head gaskets on it before finding out the water pump impeller had rotted to nothing
