For sale is my 1980 Mini 1000 which I have owned for 1-2 years. It was owned by a family who owned the car for 26 years and it was sat on there front drive way for 13 years. It is in a rough state and needs full restoration. The engine was seized, I removed the head and it is obvious that there was some water in cylinder #4 causing excessive rust. The engine I believe will need replacing as it is unrepairable unless you are brave.
Bodywork wise, it needs;
Inner sills
Outer sills
Work to the floors
Inner wing repairs/replacement
Boot floor work
Rear valance and closing panels
Rear quarters
Front end
The scuttle panel can be easily repaired as there is very minmal rust here
Same with the top dash rail, this is in very good condition with no visable rust.
Needs door skins and frame repairs.
The roof skin has dents in it but all it requires is some of the shallow dents pushing out from the inside and skim of filler to finish it off (this is not a major issue, I am just being as honest as I can)
I have removed one outer sill too see underneath which I have pictured.
Basically this needs all the usual mini bodywork repairs etc
I have the ignition key and the V5 in my name. I think from memory it has 3 owners down on the log book.
