Just before you fork out on another expansion tank, are you 100% sure it's that that's leaking? A lot of the time the expansion tanks cap can loose pressure and begin to leak air into the system meaning the tank boils the coolant and spews it out at the cap. Just trying to help you potentially save some money and fuss of replacing, for what could be a simple and cheap fix by buying a new cap. Otherwise if you're sure its definitely leaking as they do tend to crack after a while (mine did) then this looks cheap :)

^cheaper than paying nearly £50.00 for a new one. Or PM R1minimagic on here as he specialises in breaking MPi and SPi parts

yeah I am watching that one and I may just nick one off my other resto project.

It definitely seems to be leaking from around where the small pipe enters it .I cut the hose down a little yesterday to see if it was just because it was perished.If you just touch the pipe it starts to spray out so I guess it must be cracked.

 

I have another tank off a metro that looks very similar except where that small hose enters the tank so I could also try this and use a longer hose.

Just thought I would see if anyone has one first.

Ah okay yeah sounds stuffed. Mine did that too in the end. I'm pretty sure they shared the same parts or similar so yeah sounds good. No probs, I did do a quick search for you, doesn't appear that anyone is selling one on here at the moment
