Spacers or back to s brakes

Hi, i've just got a set of s rims that i really want for my car, problem is... they just touch my 4pots but only just, now do i get 3mm spacers or go back to my s brakes? If i use the shims will my standard bolts be long enough?? Cheers Andy

if your going to use spacers at all then get some longer wheel studs. whats better paying a little extra for studs or possably having the studs snap off at hight speed from the stress.

Cheers is that true with spacers as small as 3mm

well the original studs were made to the correct length for the wheel and hub, u go making to overall dimensions of it longer then you'll lose some of the thread needed, so longer studs are needed, you'll find when u buy spacers they should come with longer studs, just bang the old ones out and hammer the new ones back in, job done!

Ok... just checked some retailers and anything 5mm and under doesnt come with longer studs. Cheers

just get the longer stud seperate then. better safe than sorry as the saying go's.
