Knuckle Joints

hi i have hilos already fitted and need to replace the knuckle joints as it failed the mot on the fact the rubber boot is split i already have the knuckles but want to no if i can replace these without the compression tool.....

You may be able to wind the Hi-Lo all the way in and allow the knuckle to be removed without a compression tool. It really depends on how worn you cones are already though.

Get some M14 threaded rod, nuts & big washers, it may well do enough. screw it in while it's sat on its wheels & it may not even need compressing: with the Hi Lo's wound up & rebound stops removed.
