heya
in preparation for the mini im getting soon ive found myself some wellers for £20 that just need repainting but they are 10" and i am planning on converting the front to discs so am i right i thinking rather than the £400+ 's' setup i can get away with just some chunky spacers? only for the wellers (i love changing wheel bearings!) or am i going to have to
a) forget the 10's or b ) buy 's' brakes ?
Thankies.
10"wellers+8.4 discs = spacers?

Have a look in the FAQ section - Bluemini (I think - sorry if its someone else) has written a gide to fitting wellers over 8.4" discs.

i just fitted spacers and mine seem fine but the rear needs spacing now but need longer studs for them too but you dont need to grind the calipers...

you dont? So what size spacer do you need to use to not have to attack the calliper then? I was hoping to keep the spacing and grinding to a minimum. Does it not give you a negative effect on the handling in any way?
and what are peoples view on the calliper grinding method, obviously it would be better not too but it cant be any more dangerous than just fitting a 1"+ spacer....can it?!
or put it another way, would i be better off keeping the drums on the front or carefuly performing this operation?
ps. I could just add the discs then keep it rolling on the white minilights, but that would be too easy....
