What's The Torque Setting For Arp Con Rod Nuts (1275)

As it says really what's the torque setting for the nuts

Iv been told to use lots of oil to torque the nut up a I don't have arp lube but the arp stuff is like a grease not an oil will it still be okay to use oil

Look in a haynes manual?

Haynes manual won't have torque settings for arp

IIRC, ARP state to do them to 28 ft-lbs. Although someone will need to confirm.

 

I know it's definitely less than standard con rod nuts.

Okay cheer standard ones are 40 ft lbs

Its annoying no one is open to ring and ask I'm sitting here waiting to fit them and can't because I can't find an awnser

Okay, just had a chat with a mate who has the ARP bolts. He says it is 26 ft-lbs using the ARP moly grease.

 

ARP have a specific way of torquing the nuts as well; I think you have to tighten, undo and retighten each bolt three times.

 

There must be someone on here who has ARP bolts who can confirm what I have said.

I don't have packing for the bolts anymore and I looked on moss website an it says 32ftlb and standard bolts are 27ftlbs

And it tells you everything about arp bolts on there site an has nothing about how you tighten up in sequence
