I've recently purchased a '97 Mini Cooper. There were some alterations made by the previous owner that I'm in the process of undoing. The most heinous of which was Carbon Fibre effect sticker all over the dash. I've managed to remove most of it however there is some on the area around the instruments where it has been stuck under that part of the dash. The adhesive has also damaged the rest of the dash. So what is the best way to take the whole dash out for treatment and once it's removed what's the best way to restore it to its former glory?

Thanks in advance!

Its not that hard you will need to put your hand up from under the front shelf and undo the wing nuts 1 by glove box and 1 by clocks...........there is also a nut behind the radio...once removes you just pull forward...once clocks are free radio out and veat taken off.....you will need to use Meths to remove old glue...if this does not shift the glue then try Isotope (glass fibre resin cleaner) its a lot stronger so test it in aplace thats not seen,,,,,otherwise its back to the old fashoned way wet n dry 800,1000,1200 and a repolish......
