the more i look the more i think... ultralite? minis are a minefield sometimes

as promised a picture, 

 

ive got 2 that are straight and are doing nothing really, will need some work tough, 

 

the centercap says minilight ? on the 2 i have

cheers freaker, dont think they are the same though, slightly different centre arrangement if you look closely at the bolt holes..... hmmm nice wheels though, I know someone that could bring them up a treat!! :)

centre caps have mws written on them... look like 12x5 mws minilite copies, but older ones.... may have to hold out til i see some

i know someone who has a set of 5 of these they arnt using, they may sell you the odd one? pm me if interested.

 

when i bought my mk1 it had a set of these wheels (but all in silver) on it, the spokes are a very distinct shape, sharp edge on the top of the spoke but not like the ones at the top of the page which are much more dished.

 

i have also seen these alloys with "ct" on the centre caps. i think loads of people were selling them a few years ago with various names on them, they are all teh same casting though.

 

the centre cap itself is just a rover rsp minilight type flay plastic cap stuck in the wheel, the protrusion is part of the casting.

 

 

this is the same casting, but in a totally different finish...

thats an abingdon type replica which you can get from minispares and various others, the spokes are very different.
