Hi I have not decided on what to do with my rear yet im just wanting to see some pics of minis with this done and how do you do it?

The rear lip is made up of 3 layers, I would cut out a small section at a time and weld it, cut another section... I would weld on the inside too, to give it more strength.

yep, when you look inside the boot at the back under the hinge panel you can see where the boot floor and hinge panel meet. same from up under the valance. just weld them together.

Cut an inch, weld an inch. we used plates when we did it.

I was replacing the boot floor and rear valance anyway so seam welded both on the inside, then cut the lip off, seam welded down the outside then ground it flat! There are pics in my build thread

foglight was moved to under the valance but the cars just come off the road for a nut and bolt restoration (these pics are a year old now, and i only patched him up and painted him with rattle cans so he deserves a proper restoration)
