H22 is a serious weight. Be more advantage to fit a lighter less powerful engine like the B16/b18

yes and no because remember the more weight the more grip (to a point obviously) :D so theres pros and cons.

Interesting.  Never liked the Accord Type R H22 engine/gearbox combo.  When you change up it drops out of VTEC.  Much prefer my B18C6 :D

no it doesn't mate... you've been ill informed.......

block and gearbox of an H series is about 12kg heavier than a B series..... i may go H2B depending on space issues

As for the weight debate, again most people hear things but don't really actually know.. after searching on here about the h22 there is a lot of things said about them that is wrong, like the quote above for instance

As said ill informed, albeit understandable you believed it. I have an accord Type R the past 7 1/2 years... I know them very well....

Fantastic idea and one I have certainly had myself!

I have had about 5 H22's over the years in Accords, preludes and even in a Eg covoc before. Best one was out of an import Prelude, H22A2 with the LSD box which I believe is the same as, or similar to the accord Type R motor?

I imagine the cable shifter will be easier to work with that the rod set up of the B's.

Fantastic idea and I look forward to seeing how you cram this in there!

Good luck.
