Hi

Im looking for some info regarding classic insurance. Im looking to take my mini off the road and get another car instead. Then next year I hopefully want to put the mini back on the road but as a 2nd car.

Does anyone have any idea how much it would cost to insure my mini on classic insurance as a 2nd car. Im 18 years old and it is a 91 Mini Mayfair. I would only be looking at a maximum of 5k a year miles to drive the mini.

Has anybody else done this and how much are you paying?? If it is going to be really expensive then I will have to look at other options so any help would be greatly appreciated :)

A lot of the classic insurers have a minimum age of 21, a few are 25. One was doing 18 year olds but then stopped. I can't remember who it was (footman James possibly?).

Remember you don't get no no claims and that's a bugger when you get one that's not a classic, just found that out...

just found this. Not very helpful to me as my mini is a 91 so is to new to qualify (which is a bit crap) but potentially helpful to anyone else who has a pre 85 mini
