Have it home, will get photos up when I can and start a build thread. Needs sills and floors unfortunately. Will be using an Allspeed subframe, nova hubs, shafts etc and probably 14inch wheels so I can use a particular tyre

No mate, Minis usually use Yokohama tyres in 10inch, but they are at a limitation to that. On the novas we gained a couple of seconds a test especially in the wet by moving to Uniroyal Rainsport 2's. Unfortunately they are only available as small as 14inch. Alot cheaper to.

I will be carrying more weight running a vauxhall engine, so hopefully moving to bigger tyres will cancel out the weight gain. Might look a bit stupid having 14inch wheels on a mini, but time will tell.lol

yeah i guessed they might be alot cheaper and the weigth gain may be cancelled out by the more power available and cheaper performance parts for the nova engine

I really admire you Autotest experts. I have rallied for over 50 years, but can never remember which side of which cone to go unless I have a navigator.

The car control skills of the real expert autotesters is awesome and it's one area of motor-sport where a Min I is still mega-competitive.

You have made a lovely job of the green autotest mini.
I have my hubs and all mounted, kept standard nova shafts and dont need arch extensions :-) Bonus! Still have to make upper arms and work out how to make suspension work. With nova hubs I wont be able to use cones. When I get time I will start a thread. My name is Paul Mooney, did some of the 2012 British Autotest chamionship in a red nova.
