Hi
Is there a repair panel available with the 2 captive nuts on it that the front of the back subframe bolts onto?

I would suggest this panel and use what you need off of it as it gas the captive nuts and inner sill stiffener attached

Obviously If you need the other side then buy the other half listed as subframe mount on minispares

I used m-machine ones and they fitted fine, I really rate their panels as good value and quality.

I really hate these ones as they are not all that good. You can buy a decent repair panel as already mentioned or you can make your own like this

When you get them add some extra weld to the captive nuts.

I also have a full length panel in the garage but could not see the point of replacing the whole panel for the sake of rotten ends. When I got the car the PO had removed so much metal the heelboard was about the only thing keeping the car together.

Thanks I'll beef up welds.
Is there a problem with oversills, I've cut 2 off,it's a bit rotten underneath but I was just going to patch it up and put new oversills back on.

If you are taking the old oversills off and replacing them, then get some proper sills or chop the oversills in half.

No don't put oversills back on. They are not correct and no matter what the arguments are for using them they will create problems.

Use the correct short sills and they will not cause your inner sills and floors to rust.

And stop your mini from being de-valued due to oversills, as anyone in the know unless they are after a project will be put off buying a mini with oversills
